Windsor, Connecticut regulators approved a hemp-derived THC beverage maker's taproom application, resolving a question this region's coverage had tracked as pending since early September.
NORTHEAST, September 25, 2026: Windsor, Connecticut's Planning and Zoning Commission approved Float House's application to add a taproom to its hemp-derived THC beverage facility at 570 Hayden Station Road, according to the town's own posted commission actions record. The approval, granted at the commission's September 9 public hearing under the town's industrial zoning regulations, was not publicly reported at the time and closes out a question this region's coverage had carried as unresolved across three prior editions.
In Pennsylvania, Attorney General Dave Sunday's office disclosed on September 14 that it had charged 12 people in an alleged $18.7 million trafficking operation selling high-potency THC products, including edibles and pre-rolls, through vape shops and gas stations statewide, seizing roughly 150,000 items across three warehouses. The case involves products sold outside licensed hemp beverage retail and names no beverage brand; Sunday has separately been on record since August backing the federal government's November 12 redefinition of hemp.
Connecticut's own hemp beverage limits are due to rise October 1 under Public Act 26-8, to 5mg total THC per container at package stores and 10mg at cannabis retailers, up from 3mg. New Jersey's shift of hemp beverages above 0.4mg total THC into cannabis-only retail remains scheduled for November 13, and New Hampshire's 0.4mg per-container cap, enacted as Chapter 275, takes effect January 1, 2027.
